It’s about time!
After a week of speculation, Jermaine Dupri took to Twitter to confirm that the Mariah Carey, Lil’ Kim, and Cardi B collaboration for the remix of Mimi’s new single, “A No No,” has come to fruition. The song is produced by Dupri and samples Lil’ Kim’s 1997 hit single, “Crush On You,” from her debut album, Hard Core. The song will be the second single from Mariah’s 15th studio album, Caution, which was released on November 16th.
Only 5 days prior, Just Jared caught Mariah heading to the studio in Manhattan, New York, presumably to record her vocals for the track.
That same day, Cardi B’s fans noticed that Mariah and Cardi began following each other on Instagram.
The confirmation came right after Mariah spoke about a potential remix on November 19th during Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen:
