Tinashe Talks Songwriting, Producing, and 2019 Album on ‘Larry King Now’

Tinashe doesn’t stop!

In the past few months, the R&B songstress has been recording new music, performing at music festivals, and most recently, displaying her moves on ABC’s 27th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Over the summer, there was speculation that Tinashe was going to drop a mixtape titled, Nashe, which was to be inspired by her alter-ego of the same name. After the release of singles, “Like I Used To” and “Throw A Fit,” fans were left wondering if plans for the mixtape had been scrapped when there weren’t any updates on the project.

Well, it appears that theory was true.

Today, Tinashe stopped to visit Larry King for an interview on his Hulu series, Larry King Now, and revealed that her next release would not be a mixtape, but instead her third studio album! The record is scheduled to be released in 2019.

During the interview, Tinashe spoke on additional topics including songwriting, producing her own music, her idols, and more. Take a look.

As usual, we’re here for any upcoming project from Ms. Kachingwe, especially new music! Near the end of August, she revealed that she had already recorded 35 songs for her next body of work, and revealed several snippets on social media. Take a listen:

We can say with confidence that the snippets of these new tracks sound better than the snippets of songs that were meant for the Nashe project. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can hear a few of them in full! In the meantime, you can check out Tinashe’s newest album, Joyride, which has been on repeat here at Truth Provision since it was released earlier this year!
