Yesterday, 13 cities were included in TIDAL’s Takeover; a multi-state promotional event for TIDAL’s partnership with Sprint. At the Brooklyn location of the event, which took place at Sprint’s store on Fulton Street, a crowd of hundreds showed up to show support for hip-hop’s Queen Bee, Lil’ Kim. Watch below:

If anybody ever doubted that Ms. Jones was a legend, this video proves otherwise. She has been busy this past week, as she released her upcoming album’s lead single, “Nasty One,” on July 10th. Take a listen to Kim’s raunchy new track here:

On July 11th (which was Kim’s 43rd birthday) Billboard published an interview with Kim about her new music. She revealed that her long-awaited new album will arrive in November, marking 23 years since the release of her debut album, Hard Core. The record will be Kim’s first official album in 13 years, after the 2005 release of her 4th studio-album, The Naked Truth, which made Kim the only female rapper in history to get a 5-mic rating from The Source magazine. This era, her music is being distributed by Entertainment One; an independent record label that she signed to in 2017.

Prior to her appearance at TIDAL Takeover, Kim stopped at Sirius XM to promote “Nasty One.” She was a guest on Bevelations; a Sirius broadcast that is hosted by Bevy Smith. To hear her Bevelations interview, listen here. Kim also promoted the song on The Lord Sear Special with Gray Rizzy, which was broadcasted on Sirius XM’s Shade 45 station. During the show, Kim explained why it is essential for artists to be able to update their music sonically, without being ridiculed for it. Listen to what she had to say below:

Kim rounded out the week by taping an appearance on MTV’s TRL to promote the new single. The episode will reportedly air on Tuesday, July 17th. Last month, it was revealed that Kim was in Miami shooting a music video. The visual is rumored to be for “Nasty One” and it will be released imminently.

Regardless of whether the Queen Bee’s new material is classic Lil’ Kim or contemporary Lil’ Kim, we’re here for it either way.

Stay tuned for the latest on Lil’ Kim!
