The Queen Bee is back with her new video for her latest single, “Spicy” featuring Fabolous. Check it out after the jump:
An independent artist since 2011, Lil’ Kim’s brand is no longer powered by a major label machine. The video premiered on World Star Hip-Hop, an outlet that Kim also used to release her video for, “Black Friday” in 2011, as well as the videos for her collaborations with St. Louis rapper, Tiffany Foxx, in 2013.
The video is arguably the most high-budget video since Lil’ Kim’s single, “Download” featuring T-Pain, in 2009. It is the first time in over a decade that Lil’ Kim has employed the use of choreography in one of her visuals. The inclusion of fellow New York rapper, Fabolous, makes “Spicy” a celebratory track for all Brooklynites.
Lil’ Kim’s “Spicy” may not be as high-budget as the singles released by her label-backed peers, but for a video that she financed herself, the Queen truly delivered and she looked beautiful doing it.
